PPF National Trainer Position Open - FULL TIME - Pay Structure - Salary
I work with Star Shield Solutions, and we are in need of a PPF Trainer to join our National Support Team. Must be willing to do some travel. Looking for someone HIGHLY experienced in PPF installations and is able to teach it and provide support remotely. We mainly deal in pre-cut kits designed for our automotive OEM Partners. We use 3M Pro film, and Graphtec FC9000 plotters. Additionally, vinyl wrap experience would be excellent. If you are willing to travel, highly skilled in PPF, and looking to push your career into the next level, this might be the spot for you. -

Dusted Crystal Cut Graphic
You are using the actual 3M dusted and the “blue”. 3M premask right? frosted crystal needs the “red” more aggressive pre mask….. it works with the dusted but is a bitch to get off unless left for 24 hrs. 20 plus years of struggling with 3M dusted and frosted - both products should be discontinued -

Why does this tint look different?
To determine if there's a color problem you might have to remove the newly installed film and an older piece on the adjacent pane. At that point you are able to determine IF the two pieces of film are different and if the replaced glass is different from the older glass. It's def a pain in the azz, but one of two contractors has missed the mark. -

Why does this tint look different?
The flame can be red-ish, blue-ish, green-ish depending upon the component producing the lowE performance value. Keeping in mind, the applied film will impact this test, so attempt it from the outside. The video talks of surface 1, 2, 3, and 4, so the applied film is on number 4. Best to do this on a cloudy day, too. Standard lowE generally shows red-ish flame and hi-performance lowE is blue-ish or green-ish flame and is also known as lowE2. You may also discover multiple colored flames respective to the surface it is on. This is indicative of having a lowE coating on 2 or more surfaces. Standard lowE retains man-made heat to the interior space, whereby hi-performance lowE retains man-made heat to the interior as well as rejects the sun's solar energy away from reaching the interior. A friend of mine has a sun room built out of lowE glass panel walls and roof with lowE4 capable of 90+% solar energy rejection (pricey stuff there). -

Why does this tint look different?
Thanks for the reply. The glass definitely was clear, both old and new. The glass supplier mentioned low e glass. Maybe one is low e and one is not? It was a passing comment and I have no paper work indicating it’s low e glass. Is there anyway to tell if this is the problem with the colour? -

Why does this tint look different?
Possibility the replacement glass was not correctly matched or the replacement film was not correctly matched: ~ If the original glass had a tint and the same exact film was used on the replacement, then the glass people got the replacement wrong. ~ If the original glass was clear and the replacement glass was clear, then the film people got it wrong. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Another possibility would be the original film had a dyed layer to tone down/give it a smoke color and it has changed over time (Dyed film in residential is a rarity these days). I'd put my bet on the former possibilities as opposed to the latter. -

Hello i recently had one of my glass panes in my window retinted as original glass was faulty. Glass was replaced then re tinted. Why is one green (newly tinted) and the others purplish? -

60" DGI Plotter/parts model: OM-130 S/N: 1215007908202 for sale
Selling our 60" DGI Plotter model: OM-130 S/N: 1215007908202 or for parts. They don't make this model anymore. It was in working condition the last time we used it. I'm not sure that there is a driver still available. It was very lightly used. We just cut colored window tint to create graphics for storefront windows and we only did it part-time, mostly just on weekends. I think we bought it in 2004 or 5 and stopped the business in 2012. The plotter was stored in the house. It's in the original box. We are asking $500 or best offer. We are in Modesto, California. -

DGI Plotter model: OM-130 S/N: 1215007908202 question
Hello, we used the DGI Plotter model: OM-130 S/N: 1215007908202 to cut colored window tint and create designs for storefronts, but we stopped our business and we still have the plotter. I think we bought it in 2004 or 5, so it's not a new model and they don't make it anymore. The last time we used it it was working fine. We used to use a PC desktop computer and the software Flexi. Now we use a Mac laptop and for that the connection is not right and I can also not find a driver to use on a Mac. We would like to sell the plotter or at least sell it for parts. Does anyone here know if there is still a driver available and can it run on a Mac laptop? We can't show to people that it works if we can't demonstrate it for them. Or is there a website where people are looking for parts for this model? Someone asked if they can use it to cut window film and I think he means to actually cut through the film. I'm not sure if the strip where the blade runs across is the right thing. We never cut all the way through the backing because it put a groove into the strip that goes across under the knife. We did that by accident a couple of times. Is there maybe a strip available that is made for cutting all the way through the film? Any ideas? Thank you in advance! Karina
